Howdy, I'm Ariel.
I have always felt an unavoidable pull to be a part of something greater than myself. I chased that feeling by joining the military soon out of high school and there, I was able to experience life in ways that my small, conservative hometown couldn't afford me. After bringing my wife and me to Warner Robins, I separated from the Air Force after 6 years of service as a radar technician. Looking toward the community, I found work in a few local service industry jobs before settling into my current role as a Manufacturing Analyst at Northrop Grumman. Today, I am also a disabled veteran, small business owner, and the holder of a bachelor's degree in Philosophy (with a concentration in Morality, Politics, and Law).
I feel very strongly about the phrase "if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself" and it's one of the main beliefs that pushed me to run for Georgia House District 147. When asked if I was interested in running, I knew that every obstacle, setback, and success of my life had been preparing me for this opportunity, the opportunity to confidently be a strong and loyal voice for my district. However, I am very proud to have the chance at public service and believe that my lack of experience is more than made up for by my passion and drive for people. I truly believe that when given the proper support, people will amaze you with the things that they can do and I support issues that provide support, especially to our most vulnerable communities.
Your friend,
Ariel Phillips
